My name is Jianan Liu, but you can call me Janet.

 

I graduated from the National College of Ireland in 2015 and began my career at State Street as a fund accountant in 2016. Despite a successful start in the financial sector, my passion for food led me to make a bold career change in 2020. Driven by the belief that life is too short not to pursue what you love, I left my job to follow my true calling in the culinary arts.

 

Since 2020, I have been the proud owner and operator of an Asian food stall at Eatyard, specializing in dumplings, fried chicken, and bao buns. My deep-rooted family history in the food industry has always fueled my enthusiasm for cooking and sharing authentic Asian flavors.

 

In 2022, I had the honor of winning first place on the TV show "Takeaway Titans," competing against 15 top restaurants from Ireland and Northern Ireland. This achievement further cemented my commitment to excellence in the food industry.

 

In addition to running my food stall, I am also a culinary instructor at the Dublin Cookery School, where I teach Chinese cuisine. I am dedicated to bringing authentic Chinese food culture to Ireland and sharing my culinary heritage with a wider audience.
